Grand Haven Engagement Session | Maddie & Austin

When Maddie and I were talking about where we should go for their engagement pictures, we both agreed that the west side of Michigan has so much to offer. She mentioned that Austin might be a bit tense at the beginning of the session and that they would need some time to warm up. I recommended that we can include a location or thing that he loves to give him something he is comfortable with. Austin has a favorite brewery in Grand Rapids (they both love it) and it was on our way to Lake Michigan. It only made sense that Spectation was where we would start our session. We would grab a beer, and ease our way into taking pictures. Super chill, going somewhere they love, and documenting memories.

Maddie found a park in Grand Haven that had the tall trees we wanted and access to Lake Michigan. After the brewery, they both changed clothes and we found these incredible trees!

After running around the magical forest in their beautiful outfits, they changed again. It was chilly and we were going to go down to the lake. They put on their coats and we went on a walk/hike that felt like it was miles long! BUT it was so worth it! There was essentially no one on the beach and we had the view to ourselves.
