Stephanie + Scott's Intimate Mackinac Island Wedding

Scott and Stephanie had an intimate wedding on Mackinac Island.

They had their ceremony at Historic Mission Church on Mackinac Island. Stephanie was able to get ready in the bridal suite with her mom and Scott’s sister. After getting ready, and Scotts mom helped him with the boutonniere, they were ready for their ceremony. Their family gathered inside, Scott was front and center waiting for Steph to walk down the aisle. Stephanie walked down the aisle with her dad by her side and music played beautifully by a harpist. It was like a fairy tale. Father Ken led their ceremony with a blessing, a reading by Stephanie’s step dad, and then communion with their family.

After their ceremony a horse and carriage took them around the island, passing the Grand Hotel, and back to The Inn at Stonecliffe. Here they had an intimate dinner with their family. Heartfelt toasts were shared, warm hugs were exchanged and the whole family was able to celebrate together. After mingling with their family, Scott and Stephanie walked around the grounds for some golden hour portraits. We walked through the woods to sunset point. The sun was setting, reflecting off the water, and everything was golden. After we walked back to The Inn at Stonecliffe, Stephanie and Scott changed into comfy clothes. They came back outside where everyone was comfy by the roaring bonfire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories until the sun was long gone and we couldn’t see the Mackinac Bridge except for its lights. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
