Detroit Rooftop Proposal | Monnette Photography - Detroit Engagement Photographer

Moe wanted to have the perfect proposal for his love Rita. He had 4,000 rose petals, candles in the shape of a heart, the perfect view of Detroit at sunset, the best golden glow of sunset, and a secret photographer to document the event (that’s me! a Detroit Engagement Photographer!!).

He planned every detail including trying to coordinate their outfits. Moe found me on Instagram and we planned the proposal together. He had a vision in mind and I just sent him a few recommendations of locations that fit his vision and he made it all come to life. Once he had a location and date set, he got Rita’s shift at work taken care of so she had the evening off without Rita involved! Moe even had his brother and his brothers girlfriend involved to help set up the location so he could be with Rita. Before the proposal Daniel and his girlfriend made a path of rose petals, placed every single candle in the shape of the heart, placed every rose petal around the proposal location and set up a blue tooth speaker to play Moe and Ritas song. The weather was freezing with some fierce wind, taking some of the rose petals all over the rooftop! But everything was perfect. Moe got Rita to the rooftop with the help of an excuse from Daniel to take cool pictures for instagram at the top. Rita had NO idea that she was about to be proposed to that evening!

Rita and Moe got off the elevator and were greeted by rose petals at their feet. They came out onto the rooftop where they could hear their song playing and the sunset ahead. Moe lead her to the heart where he made a speech of his love, got down on one knee and asked Rita to marry him - she said yes!
