Detroit Yacht Club Proposal | Pat and Shelby

Pat had reached out to me letting me know he wanted to propose to Shelby. He had the whole night planned and just needed a photographer to document it. Pat and Shelby would take a stroll on the pier and he would propose to Shelby. The plan was to propose as the sun was setting on the water, but as the day came closer it was supposed to rain the entire day! We planned to wait it out and hope for the best. The day arrived and the forecast showed that the storm would completely miss Belle Isle! We had an hour window where it shouldn’t rain, and Pat proposed in that time and it went perfect! We didn’t have the sunset, but it didn’t rain. She said yes and the day was magic!

After the proposal - their families joined them on the dock to congratulate and celebrate with them. Pat planned it out so that their families could watch and join them right after! He thought of every detail to make this special and perfect for Shelby.

Their parents gifted them champagne flutes and a bottle of champagne! The popped the bottle and toasted to their engagement together.
