Brooke and Luke’s Wedding at the Colony Club

Brooke and Luke’s wedding day began at The Westin Book Cadillac, where Brooke and her bridesmaids got ready together in a space that already held meaning. It was the same room where Brooke’s sister had prepared for her own wedding day, adding a sentimental layer to the morning. The girls started with hair and makeup in matching pajamas before changing into black dresses, each one chosen individually, allowing every bridesmaid’s personality to come through.

At the church, Brooke shared a first look with her dad, gifting him a handkerchief with a note about happy tears. It was a quiet, emotional moment before the ceremony began. As guests were seated, the couple’s nieces and nephews made their way down the aisle as flower girls and ring bearers, bringing a lighthearted and joyful energy to the start of the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was led by a family friend, making it feel personal and familiar. There was a natural ease throughout, filled with both laughter and meaningful moments as Brooke and Luke exchanged their vows.

Following the ceremony, Brooke and Luke joined their wedding party on a party bus, making their way to two iconic Detroit locations for portraits. They began at the Detroit Institute of Arts before heading to Michigan Central Station, where the hydrangeas were in full bloom, which created a beautiful backdrop for photos.

As guests arrived at the venue, they were welcomed with signature drinks at the bar while the band played live during cocktail hour, setting the tone for the evening ahead. At Colony Club, Brooke and Luke made a memorable grand entrance, greeting their guests from the mezzanine before descending into the ballroom. The room filled with energy as guests cheered them on, marking the start of the celebration.

Once inside, they shared a champagne tower moment before moving into toasts. During dinner, Brooke changed into her second look, pairing a sparkly dress with her signature red bottom shoes. The couple took a private moment together to cut their cake, which featured a family heirloom cake topper, adding another meaningful detail to the day.

They rejoined their guests and transitioned into their first dances, opening the dance floor for the night. In the midst of the celebration, Brooke took a moment to step on stage and dedicate her bouquet to her mom, a surprise that made the moment even more special.

The evening continued with dancing, laughter, and time spent with the people closest to them, creating a celebration that felt both elevated and deeply personal from beginning to end.
